What is Little Wheels of Tribute?
Little Wheels of Tribute is an organization working to honor the memory of Sgt. Jordan Shay. We have collected Matchbox, Hot Wheels and other small metal cars in honor of Sgt. Jordan Shay who lost his life serving our country in Iraq. One of Jordan's final requests was for his mom to send him small toy cars to hand out to children he met in Iraq. All cars donated are being sent to troops serving in Iraq through the help of Danvers based Operation Troop Support.
Who is Sgt. Jordan Shay?
Sgt. Jordan Shay, 22, was serving his second tour in Irag when he and Army Staff Sgt. Todd Selge, 25, both members of the Stryker Brigade out of Fort Lewis in Washington state, were killed in a motor vehicle accident in Baquba, Iraq. Jordan grew up on the north shore in Amesbury, MA in a tight-knit community with his mother, Holly Shay.
Jordan had started writing about his time in the miliary on his blog - Through Amber Lenses.
Jordan touched so many lives. Adults, kids, everyone who knew him formed a special bond with him. He was truly amazing.
